About me

Brenda Deans

Dr. Brenda Deans has more than 23 years of teaching experience in the field of Criminal Justice, including the Public Safety Institute at Eastern Florida State College, Barry University, and Nova Southeastern University. She has worked/supervised various units including Field Training Officer, Civil Process Unit, Career Development Unit, and District School Security. She has held the positions of Field Training Officer, Corporal, and Sergeant. She received her master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Central Florida and her Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University. She is a published scholar of several papers regarding Law Enforcement Response to Domestic Violence. She is currently a Retired Lieutenant, after serving 38 years in Law Enforcement.
Purp7 Training has been a huge goal in my life, and I hope that I can share over 38 years of law enforcement experience to others.
